    Feedrate through hard maple

    Gang,

    You can cut 3/8" hard maple in one pass with a 1/8" carbide endmill at 150"+ a minute without breaking the bit. Not a bad looking finish either.

    Don't ask me how I know this.

    You may want to put on some safety glasses if you want to see for yourself. (or just take my word for it)

    Don't ask me how I know this.

    Perhaps the same way I found out you can drill hardened steel vice jaws ????

    In these cases, the e-stop is always too far away....no matter how close it is.
