    hello all newby needs help

    hello all i am new to this i like to DIY and this is a new chalenge i have i want to built this cnc machine from this web site http://solsylva.com/cnc/1aplanshome.html

    lol i know is to late i allready have pay for the plans and they are on the way is any one willing to help me out to built this machine just need lots of advice lol and i want to built a really realiable machine i dont want to built it in wood so any one with inputs will be glad to get it

    i am looking for the steppers if ay one saling a set for a good price let me know i need some fast steppers o really dont know what type all i know is the machine i want have to be fast cus i will be working with acrilic so i need somting like a 270+ oz or somting like it so i gues i am on the market for my material thanks

    Wher in Florida are you? As for the motors at a good price try this http://www.homeshopcnc.com/page3.html . and for the control boards try here http://pminmo.com/ I am currently building my system with the 260 oz motors and the 3977 boards the boards will cost roughlly $30 each. I am building my system out of wood and metal. Metal gantry, metal framed x and z with wood backing and the table is wood I have designed the system myself using ideas from many people on the forum I will put up a build log and specs in the next few months ( just real busy right now) good luck.

    there was a set of xylotex on ebay, I think that would be a good place to start. I am a newbie as well, and the xylotex come with controllers and are pretty user frendly. They are not the best, nor the worst. But a good price for a first machine.
