HSD spindles ...

Hi,

Looks like there are carbo-brushes, which need replacement once in ~6 months in the commercial wood routers from PorterCable, Bosch, Makita etc.
What about the costly $3K+ HSD spindles?
Are these brushless by any chance?

I heard that they are quieter, so wondering.

Yes, they are similar to a normal 3 phase electric motor. No brushes!
