Are you using the same computer that was used when you saw it run? It sounds like you're not getting a proper high or low voltage on the direction pin of the driver.

Hey Guys.
Im very new to the CNC Routers and just bought a Warthog CNC router and am having some issues.
I saw it run when i bought it, everything was perfect, stored it in my garage for a month while i finished my shop, just moved it in and cant seem to get it working right.
I just plugged everything into the computer and can only get the machine to move right and back. The Z axis wont work at all. I was on the phone with the tech all day and went over the whole wiring schematics, undid every wire and re put them in to make sure nothing got tugged out during transport and am still at square 1.
When i try to go left or forward or use the Z axis, i can hear the motor making noise but it does not move. Someone PLEASE tell me im missing something obvious!!

Or...have you ever bought a box of 4 light bulb and took them home and mysteriously one of them does not work? Sometime electrical devices don't work due to poor craftsmanship and quality and no fault of your (except you bought it).

Shoulda bought a router from Jinan-The Beautiful City.
When something goes wrong, they'll send you a picture of the warranty.
Did you try swapping the axis cables for x and y to see if you get the same problem?
Yes, i swapped the cabels and had the same issue.
The machine ran great before we moved it, but the software is over 10 years old and on a very old computer.
After talking to the warthog tech, and the wincnc software people we ordered new software and are hoping that the computer got messed up during moving becuase of how old it was.
Has anybody had this type of problem due to software being too old or moving the machine?
The PC does not sound like the problem with the details given. It sounds more like a setup or config issue. Is there any chance that you lost or did not load the correct profile? What kind of breakout board / drivers are you using? It might be easy to hook up a different PC to it, and running a trial version of Mach3 try to create a new config for it from scratch. This will eliminate one half of your possible problems. If Mach3 works, then you know it's the computer software. If not, then you can suspect a driver and electronics issue.
Plus it might be beneficial for you to upgrade to Mach3 anyways. Most folks here use that, and love it.
Does your controller use a parallel port cable?
Are you using the one that was originally with the machine?
A printer cable that has some wires crossed might do this.
