    Choosing VFD

    Hey,

I'm looking at the 3KW Chinese spindle from Solar.Jean on eBay. I hear a lot of people saying to go with a different VFD then what they sell with the spindles, and that the Hitachi X200 is a good choice.

I am running 240V single phase in my shop. I do have access to a phase converter, but it would involve a lot of wiring so I would prefer to just use my 220V.

Looking on eBay I have found many different options, but this is the one I landed on (so far):

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...d=868794996002

To be sure I asked if the seller thought it was OK, and he is saying to get the 10HP model, which is twice as much. I was wondering if anyone had a second opinion on this?

    Alex

The Hitachi X200-022NFU2 is the unit I and everyone else I know of, is running their Chinese 3kw spindles from.
