    cable chain question

I was wondering if there is such a thing as a cable chain that "opens" up on the top or bottom to allow you to run cables that have connectors on them that are too large to go thru the cable chain as built. The cable chain I have is big enough for the cables but not big enough to get the DB-9 connectors thru. The connectors are molded on and can't be taken off without tearing up the cable.

    Thanks
    Dick

IGUS has inside-open, outside-open and fully closed chains in all imaginable sizes. There are flexible fingers on the open side that prevent the cables from escaping. Obviously the closed ones are better for heavy-duty applications with stiff cable.

I am using Igus, dont know what PN# but mine has a "zipper" the top side unzips and you can lay cables in after it is installed, then just zip it up.

I've gotten some chain from UGRAcnc.com. Pretty decent both price and quality. The larger sizes open, the smaller ones don't.
