Type of bits for FLA CNC machine?

I'm getting close the stage of doing the first cuts with my CNC machine but I dont own any end mills or v-bits yet? I have a 2'x3' FLA-100 machine and I plan on cutting plastic and wood. Can anyone give me an idea of some standard types of bits everyone should have? (ie. 1/2" 2 flute end mill etc.) Something to get started with.

For wood get some spiral router bits, not end mills. End mills are designed for cutting metal. While they'll work, you might as well use the right tool for the job.

Here are two places I've bought bits from:
Whiteside Router Bits from Woodworkersworld.net--Solid Carbide Spiral, Compression Router Bit
    MLCS solid carbide router bits

The standard bits I always use are 1/4" straight, 1/4" ball nose, and 1/4" v. For bigger stuff I'll use a 1/2" straight. It depends on what you're doing, but those will let you do a lot of stuff.

For the V bits, get one that has a very sharp point. Some of them are flat tipped. Those are no good foe V carvings like the Aztec calendars and other V carvings where the v groove needs to have a tiny bottom. The flat tips are more suited to decorative moldings and signs.
