    CNC ROUTER HELP

I could use some assistance from experianced cnc router users. I recently purchased a 4X4 cnc router system from a canadian builder, the machine looks well built, but I am getting inconsistent cuts.

For my latest project, I used corel to draw my speaker baffle, then copy and paste to make a second one, next I imported the file into cut 2D, and saved as a .txt file and sent to the router. The router uses Mach 3.

When I made the cuts, I believe the speed was 40 and plunge 30, cutting depth .125/ . When I lay the 2 pieces together they are not identical, so I looked at the drawings , and they appear perfect.

So far I have checked belt tension, cleaned the slides and checked for play, so far everything appears ok, but still getting poor cuts.

    Any help is appreciated, Dave

Can you provide any more detail about how the 'A' and 'B' pieces differ, and by how much? If you repeat the cut of the two pieces, are the two 'A' components identical, the two 'B' components, or are all four pieces different?

Are you missing steps? Perhaps a issue with the computer running mach3?

Maybe it's out of square, cut a square and check if both diagonals are the same.

Checked motor couplings? Maybe rails are out of alignment causing some binding? Pics of the cut pieces might help.
