I am into greek & roman mythology for my instrument's names. Prometheus or Hercules would be good for a technological marvel, Pandora if you are having teething troubles with it. Multi-tool machines ... Hydra, Typhon or Medusa.

But that might just be me ...

i realy liked the greek mythology name idea so went for 'Hephaitos' (Ἥφαιστος), the greek god for technology, blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy, fire and volcanoes.
