    router bits needed:)

hey, guys. i was wondering, since i am sure there are dremel users around here, where do You get your bits? i will be needing bits primarily for my toy cnc, but other applications are possible. so, i need endmills, ballmills... shaft needs to be 3-3,2mm (1/8in) also, can someone please explain the types of bits? you know, names, some short explanations. i am very grateful for all the help i got from all my friends, so i thought this wouldn't be a bad way to give back a bit. there is a bunch of newbs like me, so this might help.
    thanks

You got it right! Endmills, for flats, ballmills, or ball endmills for round surfaces. There are many sizes with 1/8" shank, even Dremel sells some carbide bits!.

I would suggest both 1- and 2-flute endills and ball mills, to tackle most tasks and materials.

thing is, i got one endmill in the package, 60mm length, 14mm flute length and 3 flutes (i think). i managed to burn the bit, as i worked on 25mm MDF. of course, the flutes were not long enough to remove the debris, so the bit simply heated up and charred. later, i tried to machine some hdpe, but the bit simply glided over the surface. so, i need a good source for my bits. i will most likely be using some engraving bits, so it would be nice if i found a place that holds everything, with fair pricing

With a typical Dremel, you won't get much oomph at lower speeds, and higher speeds can cause burning, especially with a 3-flute bit. In fact, for most tasks in wood where I need a bit 1/8" or 1/16", I use single spiral Super-O-flute bits from Onsrud. You can still use them at high rpm, and the single spiral flute actually makes chips, not dust, and ejects them well. The shearing action makes them cut clean. Better so on plastics. Also work well on aluminum.

Onsrud also makes a variety of engraving bits, tapered en mills, burrs, etc. They're not the cheapest, but extremely high quality.
