my first attempt at a cnc machine

    hello all,

with all these recent postings of people's machines, i thought i'd add mine to the list. i completed construction and initial testing in feb '02, but haven't really had a chance to try milling any real parts yet - life seems to keep getting in the way of my hobbies . i'm going to start work on this machine again this winter, so any comments or suggestions would be really appreciated. more details at my website

    thanks,

    aaron

    Nice looking machine. Congratulations.

I was not able to make out from the pictures at your site how you guided the Z axis ! Could you explain or get another picture of that axis and how it is guided ?

    best regards,
    Alexandre Guimaraes

I did notice that you missing a CNCzone in your links, I do think that it provides valuable contribution for CNC noobies. I liked the leadscrews, how did you make the nut?
