    Preload Thomson Ball Nuts

Hi there....I have been reading about preloading Thomson Ballnuts and am a bit confused on how it works. My understanding is that to minimize the backlash I should preload two ball nuts on one screw with either wave washers or bellville springs. My application is using a 1" rolled ballscrew with Thomson Ball Nuts. My question is how to apply the the wave washer or bellville spring between the the two ball nuts. Do I simply place the wave washer/bellville between the ball nuts and then screw the ball nuts together to the desired preload. I have also seen something about preload couplers and locking the ball nuts in place at the desired preload. Is it just as simple as ball nut + wave washer + ball nut or am I missing something. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks..
    Chris
