    I'm not just buying the lathe for this reason. I have been wanting one to support my other hobbies as well. And the more I research, the more I realize how the router and lathe compliment each other.

    a project idea for that future lathe ?

    make your own acetal acme nuts:

    The idea looks like it could also be used for making bearing tubes. The idea would be even slicker if acetal is available in a suitable hollow rod instead of solid
    Anyone who says "It only goes together one way" has no imagination.
