Chinese Mini Mill

I picked a Chinese mini mill. But controller is shot. so i got a Gecko G540. I need help with the stepper motors.

3 are Vexta DC 2.4 amp numbers on the lable are.
103H7124-1142
C299 581

Z stepper motor is a Vexta
3.1V 1.55amp
C8513-9012K
0441

All are 4 wire.

I called Vexta and they said those are com numbers.

Any help on how I can tell whitch are the A and A- and B and B-?

Do you own a multi meter and can you measure resistance?
Connect up one lead of the meter one wire. Find the other one that has a low resistance. That's one coil. Check that the other two they are the other coil.

You now have identified the two coils. One is A the other is B.
Now hook them up to the A and B terminal.
Jog it. If the direction is wrong reverse one pair of coil wires. Direction should change.

Take note of this on the other 2 motors.

Repeat on the other small motor.
Set current using resistor as noted in manual.

I am adding a G540 to my Mill. I have a CNC4Pc C11-BoB. I need to add a touch and tool probe also a C16–photo limit & home board. Any though on this?

How did the Gecko work out for you?

I've got a machine with the same motors and seriously considering just getting the G540 and hope for smoother sailing!
