Hi,
I bought two 72 inch long 1/2-10 acme threaded rods from ecno. They were packaged ok but both were bent. you could roll them on a table and they would flop.. Not good for a CNC machine.
I was looking through some old emails and found my order from 2 years ago for some ACME 1/2-10 threaded rods. I went online to see how much the price had changed in two years.
In my original order in 2009, 1/2-10 6' length ACME Threaded rod was $9.39.
When I looked today 2009-07-15, the cheapest I found was around $45 for the same thread and length.
Then I checked the part number on my invoice and did a search for that. 408-0220 lead me to
Enco - Guaranteed Lowest Prices on Machinery, Tools and Shop Supplies
where it can still be had for $9.39.
Not sure if that helps anyone but I thought I'd post it just in case.

When I bought my 1/2-8 2 start from MSC (~7 years ago), it was $26 for 6 ft. I just checked, and it's now $72![]()

Surplus center has really cheap 1/2 10 acme single start.
