Joe's 2006 hands down.
I want to build a CNC Router for Hobby/ business/ School use.
I teach Technology at a local high school and want to build a CNC router taht I can use for all of the above. It will be my machine, but the students will be allowed to use it.
I am considering the Bluumax, the JoesCNC2006, and the Build your own CNC design from Hood-Daniel.
I think the Bluumax might be a bit light, but it seems pretty straight forward in construction. The Joes2006 and Build your own seem that they will be more than enough for any future plans I might have.
I am thinking about sign making, 3D carving, box making, and different parts in wood and plastic.
Thoughts and opinions anyone?

I,ll second that Joe's wins hands down.
Can you tell me what it is specifically about the joes's2006 that makes it so superior?
I am not rying to be difficult, but this is not my area of expertise.
Thanks for the input so far.
The Bluumax is very small and flimsy, and looks like it's designed for a dremel. It has unsupported rails, which will flex a lot if any force is applied.
As for the Build You CNC machines, I'm just not a fan of the designs.
Joes machine has been around for several years, and you can find a lot of build threads here. It's not perfect, but it's a solid, reliable machine. You can also find many modifications to make it better.
