Electrostatic painting principle is the same as electrostatic dust removal Its principle is that high-voltage forms electrostatic field carrying out painting. It is a new advanced painting technology. Compared to manual paint, it is of high efficiency, less waste, better quality and is conducive to the health of workers and so on. Paint is into the metal cup B of the high-speed through inputing tube. The spray paint emitted from cup is fogged due to atomized high-speed cup rotation. Fog spraying paint particles is with a negative charge due to rotation cup taking a negative pressure (60-120kV). Fog spraying paint particles repel each other and evenly spread out. Under the influence of the electric field force, paint particles flew to work piece taking positive charges and is adsorbed on the work surface to form a solid layer of bright light. Electrostatic painting due to the small scope does not pollute the air. At present, the electrostatic painting has been widely used in machine parts, such as processing of the train compartments.
Electrostatic painting features are as following.
1) The paint film is even, plump, both good adhesion and decorative.
2) It is of high productivity. Multi-electrostatic spray guns are installed and are easy to semi-automated or automated implement as compared with the compressed air spray paint. The production efficiency can be increased several times.
3) This new method could increase the utilization of paint up to 80 ~ 90%, reduce paint mist dispersion and pollution, and improving the working conditions of hygiene.
The complex shape of the work piece, concave hole is not easy to spray to, convex tip is covered partly with uneven paint film. So during our painting process, we made adjustment or manual repair process to ensure work piece being painted evenly.
Electrostatic painting maintenance and management is demanding. Improper operation or mismanagement will prone to electric shocks such as high-voltage breakdown discharge causing fire accidents.
