Electronics...

Hello,

I've been visiting these boards since the last 6 months regularly, and I'm pretty convinced that I'm finally ready to built my own router table.

The design is going to be a basic mobile gantry, 3 axis cnc (MDF based). The design will 20" * 30". I'll use Mach 3 to control it. The problem I'm having is concerning the electronics, like I live in Europe I simply don't have access to the famous Geckodrives

I was thinking of buying here:
http://www.slidesandballscrews.com/ (If you got good alternatifs, don't hesitate posting them)

What I'm thinking of:

Breakout Board:
Uniport (Click for information) ($81.00)
  • Five optical isolated inputs with internal power jumpers.
  • X/Y/Z/A buffered outputs with 30mA drive capacity.
  • Three 16A @ 250V AC Single pole relays.
  • Charge pump protection on all outputs and relays.
  • USB powered, only consumes 250mA with all relays energised.
  • Optional 5 volt power connection.
  • LED indicators for power, charge pump, power save and all three relays.
  • Uses standard parallel cable and A to B USB cable.

Stepper Driver (3x): ($72.00)
PM752 Microstepping Driver (Click for information)
  • High performance, cost-effective
  • Supply voltage up to +75 VDC
  • Output current up to 5.2A
  • Self-adjustment technology
  • Pure-sinusoidal current control technology
  • Pulse input frequency up to 300 KHz
  • TTL compatible and optically isolated input
  • Automatic idle-current reduction
  • 16 selectable resolutions in decimal and binary, up to 51,200 steps/rev
  • Suitable for 2-phase and 4-phase motors
  • Support PUL/DIR and CW/CCW modes
  • Short-voltage, over-voltage, over-current protections

Servo Motor (3x)
SY60STH86-3008 Nema 23 (Click for information) ($40.00)
  • Step Angle 1.8 Deg
  • Step Angle Accuracy 5% (full step, no load)
  • Resistance Accuracy 10%
  • Inductance Accuracy 20%
  • Temperature Rise 80OCMax.(rated current,2 phase on)
  • Ambient Temperature -20OC~+50OC
  • Insulation Resistance 100M Min. ,500VDC
  • Dielectric Strength 500VAC for one minute
  • Shaft Radial Play 0.02Max. (450 g-load) Shaft
  • Axial Play 0.08Max. (450 g-load) Max.
  • radial force 75N (20mm from the flange)
  • Max. axial force 15N

420 dollar total What do you think of it?

Thank you very much in advance =)

Ps. I wish to add that I have quite some experience using CNC Cutters, laser cutter, prototyping & 5-axis machinery (however I can't program the last one on my own ). A few examples of past work:

I ordered my Gecko 540 direct from Gecko for $299 + freight and had it within a week, 3x 3N steppers from the UK - were about £28/each - I know which I'd rather have!
