This is my first DIY CNC so I want to try to get it right the first time. Can anyone tell me if my stepper motors are any good for my project? (VEXTA E1.2-C19) I’m building a 42” x 42” aluminum frame CNC. I’m going to cut mostly wood but occasionally aluminum. I can’t find very much info on them. Also how does motor oz. play a part in the design? Thx. |

Unfortunately no one can advise on those motors because you don't have the full part # it should be something like PH266-e1.2-C19, but the bit you have given suggests these are very old 8-wire bipolar motors, and the VEXTA ones with the E1.2 designation were typically sub-1Nm (<140oz-in). Without more info its impossible to say for sure, but my guess would be that they aren't suitable for the size of your build.
