Feedback on new DIY CNC

Hi

I want to build my self a CNC machine and wants feedback for components.
The machine should be used for woodwork and mybe some aluminium.

I want a machinesize about 90cm x 120cm

This is parts I plan to use:
Rails and ballscrews for ZXY axis:
2pcs Linear rails SBR16-400mm +4 SBR16UU bearing blocks
2pcs Linear rails SBR16-900mm +4 SBR16UU bearing blocks
2pcs Linear rails SBR20-1200mm +4 SBR20UU bearing blocks
3pcs Ballscrews RM1605-350/950/1150mm-C7 +3ballnuts+3end-machinings
4set of BK/BF12 with locknuts and cir-clips
3pcs of flexible couplings 6.35mm*8mm
2pcs of cable drag chains: 18-25R38-1000mm and 18-25R48-1500mm

Electronics and Motors:
1pcs Stepper Motor Driver GeckoDrive - G540 3 axis package
3pcs Stepper Motor KL23H284-35-4B (1/4” Dual shaft with a flat) 387 oz-in
1pcs Power Supply KL-350-48 48V/7.3A/230V

This is a complete set from Keling Technology Inc.

Spindle:
1pcs Water-cooled spindle motor 1.5kw with a VFD
This is a complete set on ebay. (linearmotionbearings2008)


I want to build the construction in aluminium or maybe MDF.

Mach3 as software on the computer

Is this a ok setup?

IMO the CNC build is not about the components you choose, but about HOW you put them together in a most efficient way.

Your electrical part looks pretty good. Mechanical part really depends on the design. How are you going to build the frame and the gantry? Do you have any plans or any ideas?
