If you could do it again... How would support your linear rails using 8020?

Hello

Like to get some feed back from all the 8020 users builder setc... or builders of large 4x8 machines or bigger.

If you had to rebuild you gantry and used 8020... and where mounting hiwin linear rails or thk etc... how would you configure them . attached is 3 options
of different mount postions. the gantery will be using 2 pcs of 3060
3"x12" . Im Try to min rotation forces on a long x axis with the best postion for x axis rails on the gantry to reduce
twisting binding and racking on my z axis.

I wood generally aim for method B or C but it really depends on whether I drive with rack/pinion or ball screw. Method A allows for a more compact design and reduced moments but the problem is that then you lose a little clearance on the gantry clearance and you then have to raise the whole thing to compensate.

Are those 3x6 inch extrusions in that drawing?

yes the the drive sys will be r/p , yes those are 3x6 extrustions
just using them to illustrate a concept.(the design will much different) the gantry will be wider taller designed to support future 2 (dual independant z axis) with 2 router /spindles the gantry beam will be 10"x 10"
