| Hi im 14 years old and I started to build my first cnc machine based off Tom McWires insructable http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy...lling-Machine/ but im making it bigger to have a cutting table of 11x11in. And I have a question to ask. 1. here are the motors im using http://www.mpja.com/prodinfo.asp?number=17757+MS what voltage and amps should i use for my power supply

| Power supply specs are dependent on the stepper driver you will use. Is it chopper or PWM type? Is it the light bulb design from mcwire? http://www.mpja.com/prodinfo.asp?number=18091+PS may work but need more detail about your electronics. To start out on the cheap a modified computer power supply will work. Last edited by leggazoid; 12-20-2009 at 02:33 PM. Reason: added sentance |

with turbo cnc and if that doesn't work i will have to chose to build Tom McWires controller or buy the EZ stepper from Hobbycnc

| Your so young to have such and evil addiction. Quick, get out. Save yourself while you still can. lol Welcome aboard. Looks like you are making quick progress. Let me ask you, what holds the wood down on the rails? From the pictures it looks like the wood just travels on the U shape extrusions. Is that how it works? |
