I'm building an experimental CNC so I created a new profile in Mach3 so I can use both old and new. The new one is faster (8 start Acme) so have it tuned that way in Mach 3. All is well, if I want it to job an inch it moves an inch physically and in the software). The problem comes when I load a file; when I want to job an inch it moves an inch physically but only a small percentage in the software (like .1 inch). So I can't run any old or new files in the new machine since the slides goes off limits. I found 1 old file that works fine. But if I load a 2nd file to test out, it's screwed up again, reload the working file and the "settings" remain screwed up. Will have to reset the program to make it job correctly again. Any ideas, need help! |

| your units may be set wrong. Does your code have G20 or G21 at the start?

In Mach3, at the bottom of the second drop-down menu have you saved config? I am using multiple settings for screws in multiple profiles without a problem. As command line arumentg in shortcut: Mach3 /p "profile name" Or used the Mach3 loader which handles multiple profiles. Mine works correctly either way.

| I think the code starts with G20? Here's the 1st few lines: "N1G00G17G40G49G80G90G94G98 N2G20T1M06 N3G90G00X4.62762Y2.55316S4583M03 N4G43Z0.575H0 N5G01Z0.45F7" I use multiple profiles at the start of Mach3, old profile for old CNC and different profile for the new one. I wonder if it somehow changes from imperial to metric? I'll double check the settings again later today. |

| Go to Config>Set Native Units and check there.
