Has anyone see and designs with r/p with off the shelf planetary gearbox Try to get some ideas for tensioning the spur gear into the track with a planetary gearbox? |

Im planing on using a gear box planatery gearbox direct drive to the rack and pinion, dont see how the tension to maintaned on that rack? please explain. |

| In the forum link, post #13 you can see the Rosta component I adapted on the R.H. side. All of the pictures shown use the same device. The Rosta parts used are DR-A27X100 BR27 & WS18-27. These are tensioned by a twisting action and the centre axis can be pre-tensioned to ensure positive engagement, the assembly basically hinges on the Rosta device, these use high tensile rubber as the tension medium. A picture of the cross section is shown at the top of every page in the Rosta pamphlet PDF. Al.

| I should have added I held the centre post locked and the motor drive plate was attached to the outer part of the Rosta and allowed to pivot around the locked pin, under tension. Al.
