I currently have access to a full machine shop with most machining tools at my disposal. I've seen just the rails of the linear guides run for $4+ an inch and was wondering what sort of tolerances those hold. Would it be possible to just purchase the bearing blocks and machine my own rails? Has anyone ever attempted such a thing? |
