can someone help me find the brand/name of a company that makes composite/plastic brad nails that you can leave in your work without risk of ruining your end mills? it was within a topic about vac hold down systems but i can't seem to find it again. if anyone happens to know the pricing on the brads/guns that would be great too. thanks! |

| If you nail the work to the table, how will you get it off?

| i'm processing 1/2" baltic birch and have been brad nailing the waste islands i don't want to move on me while routing. i have been using 9/16 inch regular metal brads and it is very easy to pry up the scraps when finished. i'm looking at the composite brads so i can also randomly hold down the actual finished parts, then pry it up and sand both the part and the table surface without risk to tools. i think it should work quite nicely. fingers crossed of course. thoughts? |

A wood chisel works nicely for getting between the table and the work piece, plus it has a built-in wedge on one side. CarveOne
