| Check the dia of the balls, I had one that used two diameter sizes by just a few thou', every alternate one a different size. If so you need to separate the two different sizes. Al.

My Hiwin Ball nut has no external return, its a flange bearing so all is internally done in an endless loop I'm presuming ofcourse. I've got a plastic tube which fits on the end of the screw but now what? The balls have all the same diameter too. Confused??? Last edited by antonzedd; 10-26-2009 at 08:16 PM. |

| Hold the screw upright, on end. Get the nut over the screw, so that the screw is -just- into the end of it.. You can start a few balls into the bottom track, and you will able to feed one ball at a time into the end. It will fall in, and roll into the end of the spiral on the end of the screw. Not sure how to explain this..... It is VERY easy to do!! Basically, you feed in a ball, and advance the screw into the nut by the distance of one ball. (or turn the nut on, one ball further) Once the track is filled up to near the top of the top of the return circuit. ( the internal ball return) you can drop them into the open end of the ball return, and fill that up too. When you get to the top, the balls in between the screw and the nut will match up to the top of the return tube. Keep turning and start on the next circuit.. Screw on end, slowly advancing nut onto screw until the balls fill it...
