| Ah man, you should keep this thread going. There's a lot of good information in it. If you do start a new one I hope you can move all your build info and pictures till this point to it. When I first came here, reading good build threads from start to end taught me a lot. I'm no fool though, there's still a lot more to learn. |

| just wondering, what's keeping the bearing and the butcher boy rollers together? Is it just friction? I'd like to use these for my next build, but wouldn't a strong tug pull it apart?

| Hey Jack Mine are pressed together using a vise - I'd have to use a hammer to get them out although I did have some Butcher Boys that were too big and the bearing did fall out - I tossed those... I'd say 75% of the butcher boy bearings I bought were the right size

| I have a couple of looser fitting bearings as well, but with everything bolted together, the gantry and round rod kind of keeps everything in place so it wasn't a big deal. I wonder what those "buthcher boy bearings" are made for in the first place. |

| Keep an eye on those 'loose' ones - I did the same thing (thought that they would be OK) but found them to be a source of "flex" when milling some aluminum
