| I am also after turning operation in Artcam... I can do indexing but not turning like a lathe...

| As Carveone explained... Eloid you can make a simple vector in X-Y plane... Generate a profiling toolpath... Now the toolpath is in X-Y plan... Now let suppose your Lathe/Indexer is along the X-axis... You have to swap the Y-Axis motor with Z-axis Motor.. and Viola.. Or use G17, G18 or G19 whatever your machine requires..

Ok, i understand most Applique made in artcam use the 2 rail sweep however there some tricks!! to it for complex shapes attached is a eg i found someone did in artcam can some please share some tips how the the more complex shaped are formed and anyother tips... for mulitipe leaf etc see the attached pic i circle the red and green areas i need help with |

Try mill wizard addon from artcam 2008 sp 5. there u cand edit in 4 axys or open a new project and there u have some 3d future, or open a new model and in the menu-reliefs-import 3d model for unwrapping u cand import a model and set the exact location......when u import the 3d model in artcam you need to unwrap (transform it from 3d 4axys in a 3d 3axys relief) then u cand set the tool path and machine it with a cnc that support a Y,Z and the X axe swaped with the 4 axe( the rotary table).
