Hi, I am interested in the 1050W FME milling motor...I want to use it in a cnc router of 1.5X1m...My cnc router's speeds will be quite high (maybe rapid up to ~480 IPM) and I want to use it at a daily base for wooden products production(milling figures, sketches in wood, carving some patterns on doors, make detailed figures for musical instruments etc...) Is this spindle able to handle such job?Does it has the desired power for the tasks I want it? Or should I look for a better/stronger one? The problem is that I cannot afford a 2.2Kw spindle?I can put up to 200Euros for the spindle.... Thanks in advance, Kostas. |

Here is what a kress techinician told me about this product: "We thank you very much for your interest in our motor 1050 FME and would like to confirm that many customers worldwide are using this motor in combination with CNC-machines. Therefore we would like to confirma that a daily use with this motor in a CNC machine can be done, provided that the routers speed will be adjusted to the material and the cutting tool. We hope that this information is useful for you." |

| For the same price of the kress, I would get a Chinese spindle and inverter from e-bay. It offers more power depending on the model and less noise. I have used several kress spindles and the Chinese spindle offer the best "bang" for the buck. They are also easier to get replacement bearings for! If you are worried about getting ripped off from china, like I was, try e-bay user linearmotionbearings2008. He was reliable and has good products. |

| I was thinking of this spindle but it is more expensive than kress also...kress costs 139 euros while a 0.8 kw spindlr with inverter costs 355 dollars...it is too expensive... http://shop.ebay.com/linearmotionbea..._sop=12&_rdc=1 Do you have links to verify your opinion... Thanks for your answer though... |

| I don't think the Kress is going to give you the power you need. I have a 2.2kw spindle and I wish I had more power. I have a 48X96" router that travels at 250ipm. The spindle is a lot more powerful than the PC 3.5 HP router it replaced. Good luck! |

| Hi, thanks for the info... I concluded to 2.2Kw...many of users here use it and they are happy, so will I... Pplug: How is your machine performing? Do you use 1 balscrew and motor per axis? I was thinking to extend my design to 1200mm X 2000mm... I already have 3 640oz-inch keling motors, 3 geckos 203V, KL-6515 and C11 breakout board... Do you have any picture of it?I would be very interested in what is looking for and in its performance... Thanks. |
