Hi all came across this on the net and it seems like a good little machine to start off with but knowing very little about components etc maybe you guys might shed some light on it. Although it is aimed at the beginner entry level it looks like it would handle small light duty tasks see what you think. http://www.milinst.com/ Click on Robotics and the 3 axis machine and there it is. | I don't know really. It is cheap, but probably only good as a learning device. In a few months when you want to cut something worthwhile, you will want a new machine. £249 can buy some half decent steppers, a xylotex driver board and probably a PSU too, if you import from the US. At least doing that way will allow you to use those "more expensive" parts for the basis of a decent machine.

| take a look at the pdf instructions- it uses tension cords not leadscrews so you can't really do anything except push a pen round or drill holes with it. If you try to mill anything the side forces on the cutter will cause the tension cords to slip Matt |

| Hi, I remember seeing one of these on the UK Ebay site once. The person who listed it was extrememly honest. From memory he said it was ok for driving a pen around etc but it wasn't up to cutting. Cheers |
