I downloaded a dxf file from http://mydxf.blogspot.com/ when cutting the file I only do the outline and not carve it out like in the picture. I use LazyCam to inport the dxf and generate the gcode. Must be a setting I'm missing... |

| Gerry are you talking about the free version of LC or the licensed version? I think this is called pockets in LCam and I'm pretty sure it is turned off in the free version. Maybe there is a way in AutoCAD to do what I need or maybe some other program. |

| OK, now I understand what you're saying. You got the design in the middle, but it didn't remove all the material. Right? Sure, you can do it in AutoCAD. Just draw a bunch of lines inside the design where you want the bit to clear it out. I'd offset the outline slightly inside (just over half the tool diameter), then use the array command to create a bunch of parallel lines, and trim them using the inside offset.
