| X=26", Y=48", Z=12" (approx. cutting 24"x38"x9") I will make another smaller one; we all start with a big one until we realize the mistake. Hobby router work like picture frames, deco items etc. Nicolas |

| I can cut 23" by 30". Z is about 3". I recently found ground ball screws on eBay and plan on going larger this winter. Approx 32" by 43" by 4" will be the rebuild. If you have the room, they can't be too big! I mostly make carved signs with it. |

| Mine will cut X: 42", Y: 36", Z: 8". I gave extra room under the Z for bed "inserts", like a vacuum bed, or a big tray to catch splatters if I use coolant. Mine "will", as soon as I finish the wiring! John |

| I'm still just in the planning and learning stage, but if that helps I'm going for a 24x24x2" working area, mostly for wood, MDF, etc. The 24x24 comes from many reasons: - 4x8' sheets cut into smaller squares. I can go to the store, buy a 4x8' sheet and have them cut it 4 times. - The small squares are going to be easier to carry and will fit in the car. - That size is more than enough for what I'm going to use it for (small bartop arcade cabinets, control panels, etc). - A 24x24" working area means the unit is not going to be much bigger than a regular tablesaw. That's the plan anyway, if I'm ever able to build such a machine. I'm still at the motor pinout problem right now.

| 48"X 32"Y 6"Z all aluminum machine based on the data cut plans. With Chinese water cooled spindle. Use it about 6-8 hrs per week for small production building of parts for electronic equipment - cutting aluminum chassis, circuit boards, engraving faceplates, cutting cases. | My machine is a JGRO. While not as cool looking as some I have seen it gets the job done. I can cut 14" Y by 32" X by 8.5" Z. It operates between 6 and 16 hours a week. I build camera mounts for radio controlled aircraft. Also make after market parts for small electric planes. It has been at work now for almost a year with no problems. I do my design work on Turbo CAD in conjucntion with Cut2D and Mach3. I find that a very good combination for what I do. I mostly cut G 10 but once in a while I do cut a sign for someone. I may build a larger machine down the road that is all metal so I can use coolant and do alumium. We have a K-2 which is smaller and it can make small alumium parts when needed. For now we have things pretty well covered. |
