I have a problem that I need your help with. I have a Keling Technologies KL23HM276-30-8B Stepper motor that I need to replace (The shaft broke). I need a direct replacement, so I don't have to change the set up on the controllers, because I have no clue how to do that. I have searched for a week trying to find someone that sells this model # and can not find it. Keling Technologies now has the same model number without the M character. I contacted them, and they informed me it was the same motor, but it was at 1.8 degrees instead of something else (what does that even mean). The man I spoke with was difficult to understand. My question is will this work? Are there other manufacturers which would offer a direct replacement? What are the performance characteristics that I should look for? Please Help. |

| 1.8 degree step= how much the shaft rotates per pulse. 1.8 degrees out of 360..... And yes that keling stepper will replace the keling. as far as the M, I have no idea what that means. hopefully all of the colored wire will be identical for you. I always keep the wiring diagrams, just in case. |

| Thanks for responding. I just found a spec sheet on the one I have. It looks like the one I have has a .9 degree rating. Would that mean if I replace it with the 1.8 degree I would need to reset my software somehow to make up the difference? I am using Mach 3 to drive it. |

| You'd need to reduce the steps/unit by half in the motor tuning screen.
