I have Brushed DC Servo Motors that draw a peak current of 40 Amps And I want to use Gecko 340 Drives. My Power Supply also puts out 75 Volts and 40 Amps. After reading the Gecko specs. I see that they can only handle 20 Amps. Is there a way that I can get all this to work for me ? Any Help would be greatly appreciated Cheers John |

| You can use everything you have. However, the Geckos will only supply 20 amps max, so you'll be limiting your peak torque to half of what it's rated at at 40 amps.

| You really don't want to operate at the peak current anyhow (if I read your spec's correctly) as this is were you can get into de-mag problems. Your power supply is rated to 40 amps, but it will only put out what is needed (in this case max of 20 amps per axis) so if you have three axis you will probably be ok anyhow.
