ok, my CNC router machine is done and all the wiring is done and power to the 3 drivers and breakout board is ok at 28.5VDC. Now I’m setting the MACH3 and get no motors movement I suspect the problem is with the motors wiring. My stepper motors are 270oz in, 8 wires and wired as unipolar at 3.0A. Besides the 4 wires which are connected to A+, A-, B+, B-, the other 4 wires are connected to 1 wire and this 1 wire is connected to the common on the driver board. Does this motor wiring sound ok ? |

| Do the motors lock up when power is applied? If they do, then they are probably wired correctly. Are you sure you have the correct port address, and all the pins set correctly? Do the DRO's in Mach3 change when you try to move?

Believe the gecko's are NOT unipolar drivers. Make sure in ports and pins that DIR and Step pins are correct per your documentation, as some boards have them numbered opposite from the Mach3 video setup. |

| Hi Carl That is an excellent document and I thank you Unfortunantly it does not address my problem; it refers to Bipolar stepper wiring only and my motors are Unipolar. I thank you again for this excellent document. |

| When I first turn the power ON, I hear a "thumb" at the motors and that's it. The port address is the correct one according to the device mgr. The pins are correct. The DRO's do not change when I try to jog the motors Thank you |

| If the DRO's do not change, then you have a problem with mach3. If the DRO's are not changing, then no movement is being sent out. Check if the motors are locked when power is on. Can you turn them?
