Ok, I seen a post below about someone who lived in the london/uk, I was wondering if we could have (or do we have already?) an area here that allows ppl to state where they are from. May we can break it down area by area. This could help both the newer(rookie) and old builders. Is this a good idea? Is it a lot of work to do? I am working on my own cnc and would love to get help/guidence from someone who is near by. Or even if someone near me had cnc items for sale would be great. I live in chatham, ontario. How about the rest of you? |

| hi it was me who made the post about living in london/uk and i think there should be a part where you can look for help or people living close to you that would help and what better way to make friends, seeing how hard it is to make friends when all you do is sit on the cnczone website. anyway if your looking cnczone bear this in mind, it would help so much to find people out there that want to help or give help to others. thanks chris |

| The Mechanism for this is allready there. As Chuck and Yukon have stated, in the upper right hand corner of each post there is a spot that tells the location of the person who made the post. This can be as detailed or as vague as the person who is posting wants. The information that shows up in the upper right hand corner of a post is whatever information that person put in their profile. If it is not very detailed, it is probably an indication that the person doesn't WANT very detailed information about their location to be shown publicly. There is probably no point in having a special place for people to display their locations, because they probably are not going to put any more detail there than they allready have in their public profile.

| Paul, How about a visual map of the world or even just the US for now where you can see a star where each member is located. Maybe be able to drill down to a state wide area or a little smaller. Have a each star with a hyperlink to that persons member profile. I've seen it done before but just can't rember where. Would be a nice visual way of seeing who is near you. | I learned the hard way how to change the information in the upper right hand corner. If you want to be more specific, go to your profile and where it say country, get as specific as you want;}) I personally think it is a good idea to be a more specific than just the country, as you are then able to possibly define who you might be able to help out on a personal basis rather than just through forems like this.
