Backlash Problems?

Ok first
Machine: 48x48 home built
Motors: Keling 378oz (x4) 2 on X, 1 Y, 1 Z
Driver: G540
PSU: keling 350 48v
OS: Mach3 of course

Problem is when i enable backlash comp and restart software i loose automated control.
I can jog the machine around with backlash on but wont respond to mdi command nor programed code

i can jog out to table and g28 to go home and it just clicks and sits there.
i go and unclick backlash and as soon as i click ok the machine takes off and goes home.

Theres got to be something im missing??? I have to run backlash or i would worrie about it.

Posted this in mach3 area as well with no luck thought i try here.

What version of Mach3 are you running?

What is the backlash speed percent? Also, you may need to play with the shuttle number at the top right center of General Config.

There are several posts on the Mach3 Forum suggesting changing the "Shuttle Accel."

I most likely found my problem!!

I asked the guy at work i got it from and found out he bootleg copyed it. The about mach screen says version 1.8 something and licensed to a Mr fabio.
Now i see why he gave it to me and it was on a cdr disk.

I downloaded the new version from Mach and it is way different with more features.

I have been looking around and keling has it with purchase for 149 so im going to see since i just bought a crap ton of stuff if i can still get the pricing.

Ill try the new version and see if it helps.
