I am drilling, pocketing and profiling .080" 6061 Aluminum sheet. I am using an Belin 1/8" end mill bit made specifically for aluminum. When doing the drilling operation, sometimes the bit will not penetrate until the Z axis puts a LOT of force on the bit. And then "bang" the bit moves through. Any suggestions? BTW I have tried using a jobber drill bit and it looks like crap. |
