This is terrific, and I thank you for your contributions. In browsing the catalog, page 1 shows a relief of 'The Thinker' and says it is by MichaelAngelo. I believe it is by Rodin.
Cheers!

PS : I was notified of a new message to this forum by KiskZ announcing the 200th free relief, but that post is nowhere to be seen here. Odd.

Hi KisKZ,

Thanks for your very kind words.

I have a new way of height-mapping that is very easy.. It's very 'automatic' when creating shaped areas in the relief.. just based on colour setting... 'shaped gradient's are automatically generated.

I've aimed to show the benefits in this months files at my site.. so it's good news to hear that you liked the latest stuff....

Also... I hope things are going OK over at HobbyCnC... I saw you are working consolidating content to common format.. this is good news.. and also the use of 7Zip... keeps files compatible between sites... which is all good for the end user..

Thanks again for your complimentary and encouraging comments. Keep it up at HobbyCnC

Danny

I just visited HobbyCnCart. Wow.. a very nice site. And some excellent art. I pray I will soon have that ability to make clean art like that.

Thank you for the FREE art.

Not so New as you suggest....

Hi there,

this may be new to Blender... but it's really just the same as using a few heightmaps....

see the images below...

the main 'trick' to this is use of the rendered depth map and alignment of the 'line' or 'toon' type render....... but as is clear below... it doesn't even really need to be an 'accurate' depthmap.. as your creating an 'interprertaion or 'posed' version rather than a direct copy.....

Hope this helps

Danny...
