| the assembly i am looking at has 2 ball screws and 4 linear bearings, the screws are 57" long 5/8 dia and have .2 pitch.. if i want 400ipm i would have to turn the screw at 2000rpm. would a stepper be able to do that? would a whip be a problem at that speed? on that length and speed? |

| The G540 package might give you 800-900 useable RPM. As the motors get bigger, they spin slower. If you want faster speeds with steppers, you really need screws with a lead closer to .5 And screw whip would probably be a problem with a 60" screw and 2000 rpm, if you can get it to spin that fast.
