| I'm starting a first time build and haven't worked with MDF much. I was wondering what has been found to work best for protecting MDF from moisture and humidity. I have to keep mine in the garage and it can get a bit damp out there from time to time with the changin temp.'s. thanks for your opinions |

| Paint or put poly on all the parts after you machine them. Moisture in a garage environment will impact them overtime. MDF is pretty stable stuff but it is very absorbant so if you coat all the side it will stay true. Remember when you buy the stuff from a home improvement store they keep it in their building which is heated or air conditioned depending on the season. The key thing is it is kept dry. CNCMAN |

| You can also coat it with a thin epoxy like West Systems, followed by paint.
