ATC automatic tool changer

looking for commerical spindles, 1 phase 220v to but used with collet chucks for DIY atc... what is the standard collet chuck used in wood working industry? iso 30 or mk2/mk3 chucks

You can't convert a regular spindle to an ATC spindle that will hols ISO 30 toolholders.

spindle manufactures that did?.. anyone have any links or leads?

In the cnc woodworking industry what is the most common chuck type that is used iso30? for the wood working and light metal/ aluminum cnc industry.

assuming there using some type of atc?

Probably either iso30 or HSK style. depends on spindle HP and manufacturer.

Keep in mind that an iso30 toolholder with nut and ER32 collet will be close to $200 each, not including the bit. So a set of 5 tools for a toolchanger can easily cost $1200-$1500.

im planing to have my bubby who's a machinist to do all of the diy
machining for the toolholder and the tool changer. It will be a simple tool rack setup, the z axis with engage with....tool holders....

FYI. You can save a good bit of money if you get tool holders from mari tool. I have at least a dozen of them and I am very happy with them so far. Albeit, I have nothing to compare them to since these are the first set of toolholders I've ever had, and I bought based on lowest price. But they seem to be of good quality. $100 for a tool holder, $14 for an er collet.
