4x8 table plans available,

i had a brain fart and I got mixed up and thought cad-cut was the 4x8 table plans i was looking for(grin), so here is what im looking for.

I found the plans for 2 different ones other than mechmate plans that I like

http://www.machinetoolcamp.com/4x8.htm

http://www.inshorepowerboats.com/cnc.../CNCROUTER.htm

I like the inshorepowerboat one, but noone answers the email.
The other one doesnt have enough info to make me feel comfortable giving that guy my money.

Anyone build either one, other than the seller?

Thanks

I have a set of the CadCut plans I would sell, never got to build it myself. PM if interested.

Buy me a Beer?

The build log for the original Cad Cut machine is posted here somewhere.

In the 6 years I've been here, I don't recall anyone building a Machine Tool Camp machine. They've been around a long time, but I'd forgotten about them.

machine tool camp

I bought the machine tool camp plans and they are a bit disappointing for two reasons. First, in the BOM "machine tool camp" is listed as the supplier for many of the critical components of the machine. For a "do it yourself" plan I want all of the materials required for the build detailed in the BOM. I want to be able to switch out parts and redesign if I need to without having to call the company and ask what parts were used in the design. Annoying. Second, this isn't exactly a bolt together machine. There are a bunch of parts in the design that need to be machined. Nothing is terribly difficult, but if you can't machine parts, the build becomes much more difficult.
Save your money. I don't think these plans are worth it.

Everybody
Thanks for all the info. Its going to save me some headaches and money. I do like the table design from the boat one. and probably will weld up a table like that to start with using joes hybrid design. Joes looks like its the most supported one. I have used the cnc at work and have done a lot of milling pieces etc, so hopefully i wont screw this one up (GRIN).
I looked at the mechmate plans and they look a little compicated and not specific enough for me. I read blueprints all day long and they still had me confused.
So what im going to attempt is to mod joes hybrid for use with a 4x8 table because that what i really want and if I dont blow everything up and cut off an arm and a couple of legs, ill post my build. Hopefully, i wont have to beg for too much help.
Thanks to everyone for all your input

The Table is Machine Tool Camp plans 4"x 8" table.
The build went very good. Plans are detailed on the build of the table and the electrical work. My bigest problem is the Vacuum hold down table. I am still learning how to build and work with a vacuum table. I have photos but can't seem to post them as they are not on a web connection, and the insert wants a URL. I will have to learn how to post photos on this forum.

Buy me a Beer?

Use the "Go Advanced" option and then use "Manage Attachments".

Hello. The site for the boat CNC does not come up any more but guessing the machine was the yellow one..

I did not buy there plans but my design closely resembles that layout. I like it in particular because it makes of a simple long axis gantry drive design and also alows for part clamping anywhere around the paramiter with out having to worry about gantry collisions (like with ones that have the gantry support under the table)..

see thread: for pics
