Sources of Carving Files

I am looking for a catalog or list of websites that sell 3d carving art in .stl or other carving file formats. Additionally, I would also be interested individual experiences with them - how efficient and complete the patterns, etc. If no such list is currently available, I would volunteer to make such a list available on the web, with no endorsement implied, but I think this thread might be a good start for reviews of carvings and their suppliers.

If you've a good or bad experience with a "store bought" carving, how about sharing it? If you make all your own carvings that you think are better, how about sharing the technique here as well?

Thanks,

Buy me a Beer?

Both http://www.vectorart3d.com/ and http://www.3dmodelclub.com/ get high marks from users. I don't know of any others off the top of my head, although I vaguely recall one other?

this is a program that ive been playing with for creating models, its in development and will be a great program once its completed , there is no current control for the sizing so you will need to scale the model externally http://www.twmessenger.com/index_files/Software.htm
you have to be patient with the install because it will need to install net framework from microsoft

I use MeshCAM Art. It takes a little learning, but does an excellent job of creating 3D toolpaths from bitmap images, as well as CAD files.
