http://www.boschtools.com/Products/T...x?pid=PR20EVSK And holder: http://www.k2cnc.com/shop/proddetail...-B-Colt&cat=31 I am just about done on an XYZ table measuring about 6' x 3' x 1'. I was previously using a cheapo Princess Auto 7A router. Seemed to be burning out the brushes in it though. I intend on doing cutting with 1/2" cutters in pine. Is the above router suitable for this kind of cutting (or even 3/4" cuts, 1/3 to 3/4" deep) or would I require a more powerful / rigid router. Thanks for advice. Running xylotex motors 400 oz in 10 TPI 5 start. ps. I would like to do sign cutting as a hobby but this requires alot of cutting obviously. I will be purchasing carbide cutters as well but which router do I need that won't burn out. |

| That's way underpowered to 1/2" bits 3/4" deep in a single pass. It's also limited to 1/4" shank bits. You want 2HP minimum, and even that might be underpowered. A lot of people start with the Hitachi, which offers the most bang for the buck. http://www.amazon.com/Hitachi-M12VC-...4741086&sr=1-2
