I hope to someday build my own machine and mentioned this to a friend who owns a molding factory. He told me i could use his AXYZ router whenever I want. I have looked at it and got the manual. He has ToolPath to run the router and I get the impression that this software is outdated perhaps. I haven't done any programing since G-code days and have looked at Vectra software. Is Toolpath software real basic? I have also heard of linux based software and wondered how these programs compare. |

After a quick Google search, it appears that Toolpath is proprietary to AXYZ machines. Most homebuilt machines use either Mach3 and WinXP or EMC and Linux.
