Hello people of CNCzone, I am making a CNC to cut wood, plastic, some other weak stuff and hopefully aluminum. I'm thinking of possibly making another CNC with it and selling it to my friend so it has to cut what it's made of. What should i use mdf? what i need help with most is electronics and software. And i have a cnc lathe in which i can turn some parts that may be necessary for my cnc. i don't have any instructions for it. I just found it its an MTI Sm 5110 something like that. I have the thing and it can power on, how do i use it to do cnc work? thanks. Last edited by ger21; 02-07-2009 at 04:17 PM. |

| Hi there is a wealth of information on this site and lots of variable options whether a flying gantry or a moving table is whaat you want to build. If you are not certain and have very basic knowledge of CNC try buying the plans from Rockcliffe, they are outstanding and everything is well explained and more importantly produces some very accurate cuts IMHO, I'm sure that everything to do with CNC is all in this forum use the search function and you will find your answers hope this helps. |

| Please post more information, correct model number and maybe a picture or two. Someone may be able to help you once you correctly identify what you have. Welcome to the Zone, Jeff...
