Can anyone who bought on of these confirm if it can cut aluminium. On the website it seems it was used to cut a kress mount which seems impressive for such a small machine which seems to be made from 2040 profile.

Is this made possible because of the profile, linear bearings or leadscrew?

Looks like it can if you go for a more powerful unit.

It's such a clean and simple design. If I wasn't in the middle of my build route now, I probably would have gone with something similar.

Yea, it pretty much all depends on the size of your spindle or router, and the feedrate. I can cut aluminum on my machine but I have to run the machine so slow that it takes to long to cut anything. Good Luck
