how many rpm from stepper-with some torque.I do not mean the full speed, but optimum for a direct motor-screw thing...

Several things will influence the answer. The size of the motor, the voltage driving it, the driver controlling it. It will always have the most power at slower speeds.

Sanyo Denki motors are the best..i just know it bcas i used various companies motors....RPM depends upon many things...
